I was born, raised and currently live in Albuquerque’s South Valley. As a child, I attended all local public schools in the area Los Padillas Elementary School, Polk Middle School, and Rio Grande High School.

In 2010, I graduated with a BA in both History and Philosophy from the University of New Mexico.

Upon graduating from UNM, I worked as a Program Assistant for the 13th Judicial District Attorney’s Office until returning to UNM to earn my master’s degree in history. I began working as a social studies teacher at Atrisco Heritage Academy in 2015 where I continue to work to this day.

After only two terms in the legislature, I was privileged to be appointed as chair of the Education Committee. I am honored to serve on the Transportation and Public Works Committee.  During the interim, I serve on the Legislative Finance Committee, Legislative Education Study Committee, and the Military and Veteran’s Affairs Committee.

I currently reside in the community of Valley Gardens with my wife Athena and our two sons. I am proud to work on behalf of the people with whom I live, work and raise my family.
