• Education

As a high school teacher, education is very personal for me. I am committed to maximizing learning opportunities for students from early childhood to college, promote adult education growth opportunities and ensure that financial opportunities exist for every student despite their income or zip code.

  • Employment

    Employment

I have worked diligently to provide in-state employment opportunities for graduating students, sustain and create quality employment within District 10, and encourage local hiring practices. Partnering local businesses with our schools in order to prepare the next generation for the jobs of the future while also providing businesses with a skilled, experienced workforce is key to diversifying New Mexico’s economy.

  • Veterans

As the grandson of a World War II combat veterans and the son of a Vietnam combat veteran, I understand the importance of veteran services. As a legislator, I have served on the Veterans and Military Affairs interim committee and helped pass legislation crucial for those who have personally risked everything for us. We must continue to expand mental health programs while providing job training and retraining for our veterans.

  • Environment

I have worked with my colleagues in the legislature and with local communities to preserve and protect the vital natural resources, enhance the quality of life in the district and also maintain and enhance the unique characteristics of each community within District 10. Every community member deserves a clean and safe place to raise their family.
